Some of the programs that they have undertaken in Utah are: Home Energy Rating System (HERS) and Energy Efficient mortgages. These programs allow home owners to participate in a home energy rating program and to qualify for special energy-efficient mortgages. Builders and lending institutions benefit when customers request energy efficient add-ons and homeowners benefit from lower utility costs. |
