AEC is a recognized leader in sustainable design consulting. AEC provides energy, daylighting, sustainable design and LEED consulting services to carry a project through to commissioning. Energy Rated Homes of Utah (ERHU) is a statewide nonprofit organization formed to introduce the Home Energy Rating System to the state, to help Utahns take advantage of energy efficient mortage programs, and to encourage energy conservation in all segments of the housing industry. Saturn Resource Management offers publishing, curriculum development, training and consulting in the field of residential energy conservation. Saturn has developed a computer-based training curriculum called the Comprehensive Home Energy Curriculum (CHEC) and publishes manuals, booklets, and fact sheets. Saturn also performs training seminars on residential energy efficiency, both in the classroom and in the field. Saturn also consults with utilities, states and local governments, and Federal agencies about energy conservation programs.

Solar Plexus is a retail business in downtown Missoula, MT, whose primary work is to offer complete turnkey installation of renewable energy systems for homes and resorts beyond the power line. The store itself is a showcase for the products used in these installations: turbines, windmills, solar panels, inverters, batteries, pumps, lighting, to name a few. They also have energy efficient appliances and good green books.
