Qualifications:
Dan Burgoyne manages sustainability programs for California's DGS, has 20 years experience in the design and construction field, is a CA licensed architect and LEED AP. Dan represents DGS on California's Sustainable Building Task Force, is a current Board Member for the USGBC and serves on several USGBC committees.

Description:
California DGS owns and operates over 191 million square feet of state facilities, and has implemented sustainable building regulations since 2000. With many projects in design or under construction, DGS has five LEED accredited buildings completed and others registered. DGS develops and establishes policy and guidelines improving sustainability of state facilities and schools, and manages procurement activities for state. Governor Schwarzenegger signed Executive Order S-20-04 in December 2004, mandating LEED certification for new and existing State buildings.

15 years experience in recycling, reuse and waste prevention, 10 years experience in deconstruction, salvage, and building materials reuse, 3 years with city of San Francisco in construction & demolition recovery and green building.

Description:
Experienced waste reduction, reuse and recycling professional. Familiar with construction, demolition and deconstruction industries and all aspects of related resource recovery. Active in policy development and implementation, such as C&D, zero waste and green building ordinances.
