Deborah Weintraub, AIA, is a licensed architect in California and New York with published work. She is co-chair of the Los Angeles, Americal Institute of Architects, Committee on the Environment (COTE) and is involved in the environmental design association through monthly meetings, sponsoring speaker symposiums, publications and environmental design workshops. In 1996, Deborah was the primary organizer for an environmental design charette for the City of Santa Monica, co-sponsored by COTE/LA and the Eco-Cities Council. She is a member of the City of Los Angeles Sustainable Design Task Force, formulating ways to integrate environmental consciousness into city construction and design and a Trade Officer for the Canadian Consulate General, Los Angeles encouraging cross border collaboration with Canadian environmental professionals.

Peter Wowkowych is an architect working in the high desert with Nader Khalili and the Cal Earth/Geltaftan Foundation building prototype masonry, adobe and superadobe structures.
